Vicky Townsley is single, solvent, and seriously successful. Features director of the hugely successful Poise! magazine, she has an amazing flat, good friends, a fantastic wardrobe. Pretty much, everything! Except the life she wants by all means, marriage, children, and a house in the country.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Amber Winslow has a stone mansion in Connecticut, two kids and a full-time nanny, the requisite golden retriever, and a busy charitable commitment for the local Women's League. But she hasn't quite found the fulfillment she had expected from being a wife and mother. When she spots an intriguing contest in Poise!, Amber never expects to be picked.
This is about story of 2 women, both thinking that the grass would be greener on the other side, which is what all of us always think to ourselves from time to time. And when Vicky and Amber swap life, both realize what they’ve been missing and learn about themselves in a way neither of them thought what they would.
In a light and easy way Jane Green manage to show us what happens when these two women swap life, walk in each other’s shoes and discover that their life wasn’t bad at all. I personally think that this book is a lovely book and it a must read. I must say, Jane Green captures my heart again and I will give her 4 out of 5 stars!
